Dance Visions NY brings Isadora Duncan’s artistic legacy into the present through the performance of Duncan works as passed on to Beth Jucovy through her 2nd generation Duncan mentors, and through presentation of original works, often influenced by Duncan principles, that take on a different form in the modern world. The company, a not-for-profit organization since 2011, was originally founded by Ms. Jucovy as a collaborative company in 1990 as Dance Visions. Beth has created a large repertory of full evening programs presented at theaters, festivals, museums, universities, schools, historical landmarks and parks. The repertory focuses on works that express and explore our shared humanity: timeless themes as well as experiences of our current times. The company brings pure dance works, inter-disciplinary works and narrated, educational programs to local and wider audiences.
